Panarea is known for being preferred by VIP’s in their big yachts, who find a charming village with elegant restaurant terraces for late summer-night parties. It also has a cluster of smaller islands that form a truly incredible variety of landscapes and seascapes, to be visited both by boat and underwater snorkeling. It is here that you can see (and hear!) the underwater gas bubbles that testify the secondary volcanic activity of Panarea. The ride around the small island of Basiluzzo, right in front of Panarea is fascinating and so is the magnificent cove of Cala Junco.
