Salina

Salina is often referred to as the greenest island of the archipelago. Its ancient Greek name was “Didyme” which means “twin”, very likely because of its two mountain peaks. One of them is covered by woodlands and also happens to be the highest in the archipelago, making it a great hiking spot. Out of the seven islands, it is also the one whose history has been most influenced by winemaking. Still today, when touring the island by boat it is possible to appreciate the wonderful vineyards that embellish the landscape. Captain Antonello was born and raised here, so he knows every inch of the coastline and where the most beautiful spots are. The numerous grottoes and coves, natural rock arches and cobble beaches are sure to make your time boating around Salina an enchanting memory.
